Our History in Sandra's Words
Violet had been breeding for about 20 years and had a very good name for breeding quality dogs.I purchased our family pet from Mrs Reid in September 1979, and to also do obedience, her Pedigree name was Leoline Golden Sequin. We called her "Sequin". The start of our show career commenced when Mrs Reid suggested we enter Sequin in the Golden Retriever Show, and would be a lovely day out for the whole family.
For many years Sherry my daughter asked me about purchasing a puppy, I finally decided it was the right time, fences were up, family was at a good age, so a friend suggested I purchase a Golden Retriever. I searched out information on the breed and where the best lines were, which lead me to Mrs Violet Reid, prefix "Leoline"
She competed against her 2 litter sisters, and went on to win her class, and our first BLUE RIBBON, Judge was Ms Silvia Conduit. Sequin was from the very successful matings, between Ch Buffalo Woodbuff C.D. & Ch Andalee Lady Celeste, this mating was repeated four times, with many Champions in Shows, Obedience & Field from all litters Sequin, gained her Australian Championship Title in 1981 and her C.D. {Companion Dog} Title in 1982. Sequin was a beautiful lady with the epitome of a true Golden Temperament She Produced Top Winning Progeny.
